Yuzhno - July + August ... what I had for dinner (Part 5)

The usual place for dinner outside my room, most of the time is Marquis, some french restaurant. It is my favourite hang out, with a book (still on The Monk who sold his ferrari). The in house pianist makes the place a little more lively so I do not feel I am the only customer there.

Candle light dinner, alone.

Some.. thing served with the bread.

The Halibut meal, this is the nicer fish meal among others.

The Bass meal, the first and last time I will order it.

The Prawn meal, do not think I will order this again.

Scallops, asparagus and king crabs. Small scallops, and tiny king crabs.

Bigger scallops, not too small king crab with asparagus.

By now, you can see how frequent I order this. Now with huge scallops and irresistable king crabs.

cappuccino... and sometimes Irish coffee...

Ever since I received some forwarded emails about eating fruits before meal, I have tried to practise it for most of my meals on the island.

Fruit plate, have most of the nice fruits cut into pieces, except durian and jack fruit. They costs about USD20.

Close up.

Strawberries.. and the fruit behind is not pineapple.

Fruit plate + grapefruit juice.. very healthy I think? These fresh grapefruit juices costs about USD16 each.

Sometimes, this is all I have for a single dinner.

Yuzhno - July + August ... what I had for dinner (Part 3)

Since none of my buddies are staying in the same hotel, most of my dinners actually comes from the room service menu. You'll see some similar stuff as compare to my previous trip.

Grilled chicken thigh, a must try for thigh lovers.

Close up on the thigh.

Some nice bread that always comes with the main course.

Vegetable salad, this actually came as an accident. I ordered warm shrimp salad.

This is the warm shrimp salad, yes small shrimps.

This are the brothers of the shrimps from warm shrimp salad. They are called the Sauteed Prawns.

Sauteed prawns on a different day.

Still loving them.. the shrimp fettuccine.

Maybe because the prawns are huge, don't care so much about the fettuccine actually.

Another chicken thigh dish.

Bread crumbs with scallops.

This is my stock for emergency.

One of those pork rib noodle, with eggs.

This is some nice squid cracker, most wanted during F1 races.

Yuzhno - July + August ... what I had for dinner (Part 2)

Did not manage to find this restaurant in my last visit, so decided to check out this local Indian restaurant, the Taj Mahal with a few Malaysians.

Started off with a Mango Lassi... might need to add more water to make it more drink-able.

This is the dish-of-the-day.. Chicken Bakora(forgot how to spell but it sounded like that).

Mutton briyani... this is for one serving, but..

The gigantic ... naan.

The Taj Mahal special mutton

Chicken tikka masala

The masala chai is really something... went back a couple more times for almost similar food.

Yuzhno - July + August ... what I had for dinner (Part 1)

Ok.. its about time I post some proof of where those extra kilos came from ...

The Hotel's Japanese restaurant, Bamboo.. a little over priced if you ask me.

King crab Salad.. with black caviar.

Ramen, thought I would give it a try since I missed Beijing Nikko's ramen... did not see it on the menu so I just asked and they thought it can be done.

Another day's king crab salad.. not sure what happened to the caviar this time. Couldn't complain as that was the last of the king crab salad I have tasted since this caviar-less one. They have removed it from the menu.

Fresh scallop

A plate of fruits to start off, so I could absorb the nutrients properly from the fruits, and look more vibrant (tip from fwd'd email), haha.

Shrimp tempura.

Ramen again.

Walked down to Gagarin hotel again to check out the best scallop in town, according to.. me. Took this picture so that I can remember the name of the restaurant.

Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you.. the scallop of Bacabu. They are fresh, huge and yummy.

Visited Furusato few days ago, and it was still the same after 3 months, full house and long queue.
